Marathon III is a narrowband bidirectional radio/microwave link system operating in the 900MHz band using digital QAM to maximise RF channel utilisation. This full indoor unit can set up a link in adverse weather and NLOS situations. Ideal for long-distance links in mountainous areas and over-water paths.

Description

SAF Tehnika Marathon III is the narrowband bidirectional radio/microwave link system operating in the FCC part 101 and NTIA 900MHz band via digital QAM to maximise RF channel utilisation. The Marathon III modem is based on an FPGA, so is flexible for a variety of applications.

The complete system – radio and modem boards, HPA, filters and other necessary parts – are all built into a 2U rack mount indoor housing. All data/management connectors, RF connector and power supply connector are accessible at the rear panel of the Marathon III system.

There is an LED display with indication LEDs and navigation buttons on the front of the unit that provide control and monitoring of the critical system parameters. The SAF Tehnika Marathon III system can be configured by management SW (WEB GUI, CLI, SNMP).
