LOS

Line-of-sight (LOS) means that there is clear visibility between two ends of a potential radio wireless link and so units can be installed that provide free operation to the manufacturer’s specifications (in terms of bandwidth throughput and link availability and so reliability). If there are buildings or trees that encroach into the LOS, but do not directly get in the way of the LOS, then this can affect the performance (this is sometimes known as Fresnel zone interference).
