10GbE or 10 Gigabit Ethernet is a term given to communication systems whose data transfer speeds reach or exceed 10 gigabit per...

10Gbps or 10 Gigabit wireless is the name given to wireless communication systems whose data transfer speeds reach or exceed 10 gigabit (one billion bits) per...

4G, 5G, and LTE are standard for wireless broadband communications. Most major towns and cities areas are enjoying service from major cellular networks allowing high speed data and broadband access...

5G NR (New Radio) is the global standard for a unified, more capable 5G wireless air interface. For example, we refer to 5G NR in our section on RF wireless survey and drones, using SAF Tehnika's...

A 5GHz antenna is tuned for use in the 5GHz spectrum of 5100-5900. For example, the RADWIN JET series features a range of sub 6 GHz point-to-multipoint base stations, each equipped with a superior...

A 5GHz radio is a radio device used for wireless connectivity in the 5GHz...

5GHz wireless is a form of wireless communication in the 5GHz...

60GHz is a form of wireless communication in the 60GHz band. Our vendor RADWIN, who are market leaders in wireless broadband solutions, have recently launched TerraNet, a cutting-edge 60GHz mmWave...

6GHz means a form of wireless communication in the 6GHz band. From our portfolio for example, the RADWIN 5000L Base Station Integrated and 5000L Base Station Connectorized are examples of base...

7GHz is a form of wireless communication in the 7GHz band. The SAF Tehnika Integra-G and Integra-W are examples of radios that operate at multiple frequency bands including...

Access control connectivity is a security technique to regulate access to restricted or secure locations. Site or building access control is often via keypad, swipe card and/or key fob, with each of...

Adaptive Code Modulation and Bandwidth (ACMB) is used in wireless networking to allow the radio frequency size to be adjusted according to radio frequency...

Advanced encryption standard (AES), or AES encryption, is a type of cipher that protects the transfer of data...

AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard, which is a worldwide standard to encrypt data, and 256 refers to the key size – the larger the size, the more possible keys there are - giving...

Automatic gain control (AGC) is commonly used in wireless technology to adjust the required gain of a radio system and...

Amplified cable is used for the transmission of RF (radio frequency) signals over a specially designed coax...

Antennas are used as an interface between radios to transmit incoming and outgoing radio frequencies across the...

An access point (AP) is often used for the distribution of Wi-Fi signals externally or internally for internet and broadband network...

Asset tracking is a method of monitoring and keeping a record of plant and other machinery, often in a construction or maritime...

Asymmetric wireless networks provide higher downstream bandwidth than the upstream bandwidth in...

An asymmetrical antenna has a directional pattern where the signal is stronger on one azimuth than the other. An example from our product portfolio is the asymmetrical beam antennas from our vendor...

ATEX certified is the industry standard for products deployed in hazardous environments where flammables or gasses are present. Cogent Distribution supplies a wide range of robust, harsh environment...

ATEX equipment means products that are deployed in hazardous environments where flammables or gasses are present. For example, Kymata solutions can be used in dangerous working environments requiring...

An ATEX zone is an area marked as hazardous with flammables or gas present. Products such as the SAF Tehnika Integra-E3 radio are ATEX Zone 2/22 compliant and have been developed for industries where...
