We can design and supply a PtMP (point-to-multipoint) wireless solution from our wireless portfolio (especially RADWIN for 5GHz and Siklu for 60GHz) offering connectivity to each location for multiple building CCTV connectivity. This design would be subject to a line-of-sight desktop survey that would provide an indication of expected coverage and connectivity options. Read about PtMP solutions.

We can either extend an existing internet connection using wireless technology via a PtP (point-to-point) wireless link or supply a cellular 5G router with Wi-Fi access points to provide a secure and reliable connection. Read about PtP solutions. View our router products.

Our experienced technical team are on hand to understand the current issues and offer cost effective horn antenna options to replace traditional sector antennas. We are also able to supply RF (radio frequency) detection and analysers to identify interference. View RF elements horn antennas. View our portable analysers. We have an Ofcom compliant mobile signal boosting solution (the only one in the UK that fully complies with the Ofcom regulations) to enhance mobile signal coverage indoors. This solution extends the available outdoor signal to anywhere internally inside buildings (such as offices, basements, or lift areas). Our dedicated team can conduct a survey and provide a coverage heat map with expected results. We also arrange for full installation, alongside self-installation for smaller applications. Read about in-building mobile signal coverage boosting. View Nextivity signal boosters.

All our products include the standard manufacturer’s warranty. We are also able to include extended warranty and RMA services direct from the manufacturers, as well as bespoke services such as advanced replacement. Read about returns/RMA.

Fixed wireless access (FWA) is generally used to extend a service such as broadband or a backhaul access network to other locations. Cellular access from a mobile network is generally roaming and will depend on the available mobile signal and capacity at the connection location. Read about connectivity technologies.

The solution is to put an IoT device inside the vehicle or attached to the valuable equipment and to connect this to a Mobile Data Routing unit also inside the vehicle that contains a multi-MNO (Mobile Network Operator) SIM card that can connect to any network, determined by whichever service has the strongest signal at the time.

This is a common problem and often the solution is to put the wireless access points or coverage units inside the difficult areas and/or to increase the level of kit to work in a harsh environment. This is not ideal and there is another solution that has been around for a while but has recently leapt forward technically to provide a much better and more viable solution – leaky feeder cabling solutions. This is where the full signal from an access point can be sent up to 300m away from a unit without signal degradation, allowing the access point to remain in the safe or easily maintainable area and the service to be provided in the harsh environment via the signal bearing cabling.

Sadly, this is a persistent issue in “Broadband Britain” – the so-called “not-spot” still prevalent in large areas of our countryside. Cogent Distribution has some very good solutions available that can solve this issue effectively, either used alone as a sole technology solution or in combination. Talk to us for the very best advice and solutions or a survey visit. We have provided complete solutions for whole communities/villages or individual properties/groups of properties.

We select our vendors and manufacturers on the basis of a complete set of solutions from one source, so please check out the integrated range of solutions per manufacturer that we have available: RADWIN, Peplink, Perle Systems, SAF Tehnika, Teltonika Networks, RF elements, Siklu by Ceragon, Nextivity, and Kymata.
