Jim Kernahan talks to Newbury College students

Cogent Distribution gets out and about in the local community. Last week, our MD Jim Kernahan was at Newbury College, Berkshire to give a talk to students working towards a T Level in Digital Support Services, sharing experiences from his career in the tech industry, what it’s like to build new businesses from the ground up, and introducing students to the workplace environment, teamwork, and typical job roles in the technology sector.

Industry Placement Coordinator at Newbury College, Heather Willcox said: “The feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive – Jim really left them feeling inspired and opened their eyes to such a range of possibilities that the working world could look like! We couldn’t have asked for more to be honest.”

Thank you to Newbury College for being so welcoming, and to Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce – as we got talking to Newbury College’s Antonio Giacomini at a recent networking event at The Watermill Theatre!
