Helping to prepare our future workforce

Last week, Cogent Distribution was helping to prepare our future workforce. We joined the Education Business Partnership (EBP) and other volunteer Business Ambassadors from a wide cross-section of companies to give mock interview practice to Year 11 students at the Maiden Erlegh School in Reading.

Jim Kernahan, our MD at Cogent Distribution, was one of several business leaders taking part in the interview preparation sessions, which gave students the opportunity to put new skills into practise in a supportive and familiar environment.

Thanks to the EBP’s Victoria Hanford for organising the event so efficiently – to Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce for making the introduction – and we look forward to working with the EBP again to help prepare more young people for the exciting world of work.
